How to connect your bank account for EFT transfers:
Please follow the steps below to connect your bank account with your CenterPoint trading account for EFT deposits and withdrawals. It’s free of charge and takes 3-5 business days.
Step 1: Click on Operations from the side menu
Step 2: Connect your bank account
Step 3: Follow the steps on the pop-up to connect to your bank
Fees
- There is no fee to use the EFT service, although your financial institution may charge transaction fees.
Timeframe
- Cutoff time for processing is 12:00 PM ET. Requests submitted after that will be processed on the next business day.
- It can take 3-5 days for the funds to be available for trading (Credit Unions may take longer). If you want funds in 1-2 business days, you may consider a wire transfer instead.
Common Reasons for Delays
- Third- party payments are not accepted. All payments must be made from a bank account in the same name as your account.
- EFT transfers are available for Canadian institutions only.
