How to Deposit Funds via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)
EFT services are available for CAD and USD transactions through eligible Canadian financial institutions only.
Setup
- Complete the Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) Setup process to connect your online banking portal.
- Link your selected Canadian bank account with your CenterPoint account.
How to Transfer
Once your bank account is successfully linked, follow these steps to deposit funds to your CenterPoint Canada account:
Fees
- There is no fee to use the EFT service, although your financial institution may charge transaction fees.
Timeframe
- Requests submitted before 12:00 PM ET are processed same-day. Requests submitted after 12:00 PM ET will be processed on the next business day.
- Funds are typically available for trading within 3–5 business days (transfers from Credit Unions may take longer). For faster availability (1–2 business days), consider submitting a wire transfer instead.
Common Reasons for Delays
- Third- party payments are not accepted. All payments must be made from a bank account in the same name as your account.
- EFT transfers are available for Canadian institutions only.
